Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on the 7th of December 7 1963 in Edo State, Nigeria, was raised in a family of faith, supported by loving and devoted parents. He is the father of the elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. The LoveWorld ministry is a family effort. Reverend Ken is his brother and is the revered Pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston Texas Church. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome studied at Edo College before winning a scholarship to study architecture at Bendel State University, known today as Ambrose Ali University, where he obtained a BSc in Architecture. He also received an honorary Doctor of Science award. He also holds an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. Ambrose Ali University was the campus where he felt God calling him to become an ordained minister to the Lord.

While he was at the university, The Man of God created what would become one of the biggest churches in the world. He began an unassuming prayer group dubbed “Youth for Christ” which would later grow into the most popular organisation of its type on campus. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station to broadcast from Africa to the rest of the world 24/7 nonstop on free-to-air networks. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations around the world.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. Two Healing Schools are situated in South Africa and Canada. In Canada, Pastor Chris organizes seasonal sessions which allow the manifestation of miracles.

COFI’s umbrella covers the InnerCity Mission ICM (ICM), the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation /TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation and the Bible For All Mission. The charity also offers assistance for children in need.
