Pastor Chris: The Man

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith who was raised by a loving family and was supported by his parents. He was the oldest of four children born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the early pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina who is the mother of the Oyakhilome family who imprinted her faith in God’s grace upon her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a collaboration between the entire family. Reverend Ken is Ken’s older brother and is a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren (KattyWorghiren) is director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry. The LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry has many gospel artists who are top-selling worldwide.

Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon is following her father’s example of sharing God’s Word with the World. As well as being known by CSO her name, she is an award-winning, talented gospel artist and is a part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his studies at Edo College. After a scholarship was granted to pursue a degree in architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University), he was awarded the BSc degree in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He has an honorary degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. While at Ambrose Ali University, he received a call from God to enter into the ministry and be a servant to the Lord.

Pastor Chris: The Mentor

When he was still at university, the Man of God established what would later become one of the largest churches worldwide. He began an informal prayer group called “Youth for Christ” which would later grow into the most popular group of its kind on campus. It was also the foundation for the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated which has millions of followers all over the world.

The LoveWorld ministry was founded under Pastor Chris. It is a pioneer in satellite TV, Christian TV production and programming. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television channel to be broadcast 24/7 from Africa through free-to-air channels. Today, LoveWorld television stations are available on satellite and cable networks all over the world.

Christ Embassy has strong presence in Pastor Chris’s home country of Nigeria, South Africa and Canada. The church has two Healing Schools based in South Africa. These schools are where Pastor Chris organizes sessions during the season that allow miracles to happen.

Music and Gospel Music are integral parts of the worship. Pastor Chris is a strong advocate for gospel music. Pastor Chris: Philanthropist

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome established the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation Internet (COFI) which is an international non-profit organization. Its mission is to aid those who are most vulnerable and communities within certain regions and countries of poverty all over the world.

In addition to proclaiming the gospel, the Man of God also established NGOs that have the mission of providing essential services and hope to the poor, needy or uninformed. COFI is a partnership with five other organizations that have all committed to improving the standard of living in the areas that are the least developed.
